Job Summary

This role will be positioned under QC Department. He/ she is responsible for ensuring all products and production processes comply with Halal standards by monitoring production, conducting inspections, and maintaining documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the full JAKIM Halal certification application.
  • Prepare and submit documents such as ingredient lists, supplier lists, Halal certificates, SOPs, manuals, and layout/flow charts.
  • Coordinate central kitchen and outlet readiness to meet MS1500:2019 requirements and liaise with JAKIM/JAIN officers until approval.
  • Monitor Halal compliance daily for CK and outlets: receiving, storage, production, handling, packaging, and distribution.
  • Verify all ingredients and suppliers for valid Halal certification before purchase or use.
  • Maintain complete Halal documentation, training records, audit files, and traceability logs.
  • Conduct internal Halal audits and support external JAKIM audits.
  • Implement corrective actions and ensure continuous improvement.
  • Monitor production for cross-contamination or non-compliance with Halal procedures.

Valued Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in F&B, central kitchen, or food manufacturing.
  • Diploma/Degree in Halal Science, Food Science, Food Technology, Islamic Studies, or related field.
  • Certified Halal Executive will be prioritized.
  • Knowledge of Halal certification requirements and MS1500:2019 standards.
  • Strong coordination, detail-oriented, well- organized, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks within the timeline independently and in a team.
