*Why PM at Lendela?*
We're growing our team to support our market-leading fintech product. Join a fast growing startup with presence in 4 countries to help us to ensure that users love our product as we build new features. It's an (primarily) web-based product and complex logic-heavy backend, with an existing user base.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager with a bias for action and a track record of getting things done.
- Work in a startup environment where your contributions can have an outsized impact on the company. We're a product focussed company with 2 C-suites being former product managers.
- The product is primarily a web based product serving 3 customers. The borrower, lenders and Lendela's customer success team. The core logic of the system is our intelligent matching algorithm between borrowers and lenders. Another key system is our integrated customer communication and retention platform.
- You'll be challenging the creative and logical side of your brain. A large part of the business is customer acquisition so any B2C PM experience will be useful. In addition, it is data and analytics heavy with a smattering of APIs with our partners. So you'll need to be comfortable looking through tables and technical docs too.
- Join a mature product environment, with other product managers and UX. Supported by an experienced tech team and data analytics team.
- Be part of an international company, serving international users.
Key Responsibilities. You're Someone Who...
- can handle ownership. This could mean being detailed-oriented enough to ensure UX and/or copy is on point; organised to ensure no requirements are missing; and experienced enough to know when things need a little nudge.
- is data and outcome-driven, not just focussing on features. You'll be supported by a data team in a very measurement focussed company, but you'll need to know how to get data, and how to analyse it to build a strong narrative.
- has strong user empathy as we're dealing with 3 users: borrower, lender & customer success. Juggling the needs of our users while staying focussed on our goals is a key skill. This includes doing research and customer interviews.
- has a get-things-done attitude. You'll be driving multiple initiatives at the same time at various stages of the product lifecycle. Staying on top of everything while ensuring things are moving forward is always challenging.
- is able to handle complex business logic. We're a fintech, so must be comfortable in this environment. You may have to deal with external integration partners.
- has technical understanding of some sort. Can be APIs, SEO, data - something that elevates your user focus to intuitively understand how to bring ideas to life.
- can define a product strategy and priortise the product backlog. Always ensuring alignment with company goals.
- is able to lead. You'll be expected to set a standard, and be able to bring people into your vision.
- has all the basics that make up the day to day at a minimum.
- Manage end-to-end product lifecycle. PRD, requirements gathering, acceptance criteria, user stories etc. We follow the standard fortnightly scrums.
- Organised, detailed-oriented, great communicator. All the traits that are needed to get outcomes the right way.
Requirements For This Role
- Min 5 year work experience in a similar role, preferably in a startup, with minimum of 10 years total work experience. Does not need to have a technical background but preferable. Any hands-on experience in ops, UX or marketing is a plus.
- Must have a demonstrable record of delivering results, preferably in a startup. Showing you're comfortable with ambiguity and managing priorities.
- Must have a high degree of ownership, agency and bias for action.
- Technical fluency is prefered. You don't need to code, but must be comfortable discussing APIs, business logic, sifting through database tables and analysing data with engineers.
- Good to have: Agile/scrum practises, eye for design, strong fundamentals in product best practices.
- Nice to have, but not required: AI experience, Fintech background.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication is a must
