Business Development Manager

Responsibilities:
- Developing strategies for expanding the company's business in international markets.
- Conducting market research, analysis, and development.
- Forecasting, budgeting, evaluating, and reviewing business proposals.
- Implementing and leading business activities in identified markets.
- Expanding Sales and Business by acquiring new clients in the assigned country.
- Traveling overseas, if necessary, to meet with existing and potential customers for business development.
- Achieving sales and profit targets set by the company.
- Ensuring all orders received are processed and forwarded on time to the Planner for raw/packaging material processing, from initiation to the end of shipment, with priority.
- Resolving quality issues with clients through coordination with Marketing, QA, R&D, and Production departments.
- Coordinating with the Purchasing department to expedite new resources to reduce the cost of finished products.
- Managing the end-to-end process of opening new accounts for customers and coordinating on country requirements such as labelling, shelf life, product coding, and other product packaging needs.
- Ensuring that customers' requirements are compliant and followed accordingly.
- Ensuring smooth communication with internal and external customers.
- Following up and preparing/arranging overseas inquiries on product samples, feedback, packaging, labelling, and any product-related requirements accordingly.
- Ensuring documentation is completed according to guidelines and company procedures.
- Ensuring customer orders are completed by production according to the Planner's advised completion date without delay.
- Ensuring proper handling of shipping documents by the logistics department and compliance with customer instructions and requests.
- Reviewing and checking draft shipping documents before emailing customers for confirmation.
- Ensuring preparation of all customer shipping documents before sending them for declaration.
- Ensuring timely payments by all customer.
- Participating in various networking conferences, such as Food Exhibitions.
- Preparing monthly and other necessary reports as requested by management.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess a diploma or degree in International Business, Business Administration, Marketing, Food Science, Food Technology, Food Safety or a related field
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development or similar experience.
- Good command of English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia, spoken and written, can communicate well.
- Proven track records in managing sales for international customers will be an added advantage.
- Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills at both operational and senior levels.
- Goals-driven and customer-oriented.
