Job Summary

We are offering a
6-month internship for an AI Engineer Intern
to gain hands-on experience in AI development along with exposure to business, project management, and delivery processes. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and contribute to real AI projects, preparing you for future career growth in AI and technology. There is a possibility of conversion to a full-time permanent role based on performance and business needs.

What You Will Do

Business Analysis

  • Support discovery: run interviews/workshops, take notes, capture goals and pain points.
  • Draft user stories, acceptance criteria, and simple process maps (current vs. future state).
  • Define success metrics/KPIs and assist in test plans and UAT.

AI Engineering & Prototyping

  • Clean and prepare data; write reusable data loaders and feature transforms.
  • Build quick prototypes (notebooks/APIs) using Python and libraries like scikit-learn, PyTorch or TensorFlow (guided).
  • Experiment with NLP/CV/LLM components (prompting, RAG, embeddings) and document findings.
  • Package proofs-of-concept as simple services (e.g., FastAPI/Flask) for internal demos.
  • Create evaluation scripts, run A/B or offline metrics, and log results reproducibly.
  • Implement basic MLOps hygiene: Git, virtual envs, , simple CI checks.
  • Integrate with common data sources (SQL/CSV/Object storage) and call third-party/internal APIs.

Project Coordination & Reporting

  • Maintain trackers, RAID logs, and stakeholder comms.
  • Prepare concise readouts: problem framing, approach, prototype results, next steps.

Governance & Responsible AI

  • Follow internal standards for data privacy, PDPA compliance, model risk documentation, and secure handling of credentials/tokens.

What You Should Have

Education

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Data/AI, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field (penultimate/final year preferred).
  • Python fundamentals; ability to write clean, readable code.
  • Basics of pandas/NumPy; exposure to scikit-learn and at least one deep-learning framework (PyTorch/TensorFlow) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with LLM tooling (e.g., LangChain/LlamaIndex), embeddings/vector DBs (FAISS/Milvus/pgvector) is advantageous.
  • Simple API development (FastAPI/Flask) and JSON/REST.
  • Version control with Git; basic unit testing and documentation.
  • SQL basics; familiarity with Power BI/Tableau is a bonus.
  • Comfort using notebooks (Jupyter) and working with CSV/Parquet.
  • Nice to have: Docker basics, GPU awareness (CUDA concepts), prompt engineering/RAG patterns.
