Estate Manager

About the role

As an Estate Manager at FGV Agri Services Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient and profitable management of residential properties in Sabah. This full-time position requires you to use your extensive experience in the residential real estate industry to ensure the smooth operation and optimal performance of the properties under your care.

What you'll be doing

• Oversee and manage all estate operations, including land preparation, planting, harvesting, pest and disease control, fertilization, and general upkeep.
• Lead and supervise estate staff, workers, and contractors to ensure optimal productivity and operational efficiency.
• Monitor and manage operational costs and budgets in accordance with company policies.
• Prepare accurate and timely reports on estate activities, crop yields, and key performance indicators.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety standards across all operations.
• Implement Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and maintain sustainability certifications such as RSPO, MSPO, and SIRIM where applicable.
• Foster positive relationships with government agencies, local communities, and stakeholders to support transparency and smooth operations.
• Manage estate machinery, equipment, and infrastructure, ensuring proper maintenance and utilization.
• Develop and train team members to enhance skills and support succession planning.
• Identify operational improvement opportunities and implement strategies to boost efficiency and crop output.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Plantation Management, Agricultural Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in oil palm plantation management, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of plantation operations, agronomy practices, and labor management.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to challenging field conditions.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and plantation management systems.
• Excellent command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (written and spoken).
