Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee purchasing activities, including sourcing and ordering raw materials and trading products to support production and sales.
  • Guide and supervise the Purchasing team to ensure effective execution of procurement plans.
  • Request quotations, negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to maintain competitive purchasing costs.
  • Manage shipping and logistics for imported raw materials and coordinate with forwarding agents to meet customs and SST requirements.
  • Monitor stock levels to ensure sufficient supply and avoid production downtime; ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Maintain strong communication with suppliers to improve delivery, pricing, and material quality.
  • Ensure all purchased materials meet required specifications, including safety and compliance standards (e.g., RoHS)
  • Evaluate new and existing suppliers using internal vendor rating systems
  • Support environmental, health, and safety requirements and participate in related audits, training, and activities.
  • Manage purchase orders, supplier master data, and material master data.
  • Handle filing of business correspondences and purchase orders.
  • Liaise with Customs and MIDA authorities.

Role Requirements:

  • Degree in Manufacturing, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of procurement management experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and reporting.
  • Knowledge of SIRIM audits and importation processes is an advantage
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: RM12, RM14,000.00 per month
