Your tasks:

  • Supervision

Supervise and motivate a team of manufacturing operators & technicians to ensure that the production processes are aligned with specified key performance indicators such as quality, productivity, on-time delivery, customer satisfaction, discipline, continuous improvement and securing profitability. Ensure the circulation of information, policies and procedures to subordinates are performed effectively. Encourage self-management and high level of responsibility in line with growth culture principles.

  • Production

Interface with engineers and other supporting function groups to resolve production issues. Responsible for operation maintenance, troubleshooting and inform technical personnel for all repairs and equipment malfunctions.

Provides manufacturing information to management by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance records and data.

Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring

progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, reporting results of the processing flow on shift production summaries.

Facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points.

Qualify subordinates skill(s) through structured training plans to meet standard operating procedure and enhance work quality.

Manage subordinates disciplinary issues by providing coaching and counselling whilst monitoring their progress. To ensure subordinates practice 5S and total productive maintenance at the workplace, to ensure sustainability of operations.

  • IMSU/ EHS

Implements IMSU/EHS directive in his/her area of responsibility. Adhering to IMSU guidelines & local EHS legislations and promoting accident free workplace.

  • Lean Manufacturing

Makes use of the processes designed according to the principle of Lean Manufacturing in his or her work groups. Sees to it that

ideas and recommendations from employees are included and observed during the Lean Manufacturing design process.

Any other tasks/projects assigned to you by your superior(s) from time to time.

Your Profile:

  • Degree/Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical / Manufacturing) with CNC 2+3 or 5-axis knowledge
  • Minimum 3 years related working experience in managing a production team
  • LEAN, SAP, SPC,TPM, TWI & QMS knowledge. Good command of English & Bahasa Malaysia
  • Experience in an optical manufacturing environment, an added advantage.
