Accounts Assistant

Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounts Assistant to support our finance department with daily accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will assist with bookkeeping, data entry, invoice processing, and financial reporting to ensure accurate and up-to-date records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update financial records and ledgers.
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including data entry of invoices.
- Assist with monthly bank reconciliations.
- Prepare payment vouchers and petty cash claims.
- Help with monthly financial reporting and budget tracking.
- File and organize financial documents and receipts.
- Support the Finance Manager with audit preparation and other tasks.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures.
- Liaise with vendors, suppliers, and internal departments as needed.
Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (fresh graduates may be considered).
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SQL, MYOB, QuickBooks, Xero).
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
- Experience in handling SST or local tax filings.
- Familiarity with payroll processing.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: RM2, RM3,000.00 per month
