Job Summary:

We are looking for an experienced
AS400 RPG Developer
to design, develop, and maintain applications on the IBM iSeries (AS/400) platform. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in
RPG, RPGLE, CLLE, and DB2/400
, with a solid understanding of business processes and system integrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on
    IBM iSeries (AS400)
    using
    RPG, RPGLE, CLLE, and SQLRPGLE
    .
  • Analyze user requirements, design efficient system solutions, and prepare technical documentation.
  • Perform system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of existing programs.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, end-users, and other IT teams to ensure smooth integration and system performance.
  • Support and maintain production environments, ensuring timely resolution of application issues.
  • Participate in migration, modernization, or integration projects involving legacy AS400 systems.
  • Perform data analysis, file maintenance, and optimization using
    DB2/400
    .
  • Ensure all development complies with company coding and documentation standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in
    Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
    .
  • Minimum
    3–6 years
    of experience in AS400 application development.
  • Strong proficiency in
    RPG, RPGLE, CLLE, SQLRPGLE, DB2/400
    , and
    CL programming
    .
  • Experience in
    system analysis, design, and support
    on AS400/iSeries.
  • Familiarity with
    change management tools (e.g., TurnOver, Aldon, Implementer)
    will be an advantage.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team.
