Director, Technology Governance

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to oversee the provide strategic planning, governance, financial oversight and performance management across multiple product pillars within our technology organization. This role ensures that product delivery is efficient, compliant, financially sound, and aligned with long-term business objectives.
Strategic Planning & Portfolio Governance
- Lead annual and quarterly strategic planning cycles across product pillars.
- Align product roadmaps with business objectives, capacity, and investment priorities.
- Drive portfolio-level governance to ensure transparency, prioritization, and value delivery.
- Define and track strategic KPIs such as roadmap delivery rate, business value realization, and initiative health.
SDLC Oversight / Assurance
- Standardize and continuously improve SDLC practices across teams (Agile, Scrum, DevOps).
- Ensure adherence to quality gates, release schedules, and compliance requirements.
- Monitor delivery metrics such as velocity, cycle time, defect rates, and deployment frequency.
Governance & Performance Management
- Establish and enforce governance and performance management frameworks across product development and operations.
- Lead governance forums and ensure timely reporting of delivery health, fulfilment of KPIs, risks, and escalations.
- Track performance metrics such as SDLC productivity metrics, policy adherence rate and audit findings etc.
Financial Oversight
- Own budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking across product pillars.
- Partner with Finance and Procurement to manage vendor contracts, licensing, and cost optimization.
- Provide financial reporting and insights to support investment decisions and ROI analysis.
- Monitor financial metrics
Team Leadership & People Management
- Lead and mentor a team of program managers, analysts, and governance specialists.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support career development, performance management, and team engagement initiatives.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to product owners, engineering leads, and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate cross-functional alignment and communication across product, technology, and business units.
- Prepare and present executive-level updates on delivery progress, risks, and financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Business, or related field; MBA or equivalent is a plus.
- 10+ years of experience in technology strategy, program management, or product governance roles.
- Proven experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing complex portfolios.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and enterprise governance.
- Demonstrated financial acumen and experience managing budgets and cost models.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
