Responsibilities

  • Manage the General Ledger: Record, classify, and reconcile all financial transactions accurately and in a timely manner.

  • Prepare Financial Reports: Create and maintain accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure financial records comply with regulatory standards and that accounting procedures are followed.

  • Support Audits: Collaborate with and support both internal and external auditors, providing necessary documentation and insights.

  • Analyse Financial Data: Analyse financial data to provide insights, support budgeting and forecasting, and identify trends.

Qualifications

  • Education: Chartered accountant qualification or a related field is generally expected.

  • Experience: Significant experience as a General Ledger Accountant is essential, particularly with experience in audit firm

  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent attention to detail and organizational skills and tax knowledge, a fundamental understanding of tax principles or prior experience with tax-related processes.
