• Anti-Bribery and Corruption Management System (ABCMS)
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 3701:2016 Anti-Bribery Management System.
  • Conduct quarterly and yearly bribery risk assessments and reviews.
  • Plan and perform quarterly internal audits.
  • Report quarterly to the Compliance Committee and Top Management.
  • Submit quarterly reports to Carsem’s Board of Directors, BARMC, and HLMC.
  • Liaise with SIRIM QAS auditors and Heads of Departments (HODs) for yearly audits.
• Treasury Matters
  • Manage treasury functions, including foreign exchange (Forex) and financial instruments.
  • Monitor forex rates and submit requests for hedging when necessary.
  • Review and verify monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Oversee cash management.
  • Verify bank templates and online payments.
  • Coordinate with bankers on documentation reviews.
  • Establish banking facilities for the company.
  • Vet banking legal documents in collaboration with Hong Leong Legal.
• Self-Audit
  • Conduct corporate self-audits as per Hong Leong internal audit program.
  • Assist corporate internal auditors during audits.
  • Implement internal control procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Oversee Enterprise Risk Management and internal controls.
• Execute the Enterprise Risk Management program, including reviews and reporting to identify and mitigate enterprise risks.
• Agreement/Contract Compliance
  • Ensure agreements and contracts comply with company and group policies.
• Other Responsibilities
  • Ensure smooth execution of scrap sales and collection of sales proceeds.
  • Manage and track security documents via the e-Security platform.
  • Review e-Claims (Travel, Entertainment, and Reimbursement) with subordinate assistance.
  • Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the immediate superior.
• Potential Successor to Finance Manager
  • Prepare to take on responsibilities as the Finance Manager in the future.

Qualifications:

• Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Membership in the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

Experience:

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in an accountant or finance manager role.
• Preferably experienced in treasury or internal control functions.
• Experience in overall finance functions is an added advantage.

Special Skills:

• Strong knowledge of ISO programs (Anti-Bribery & Corruption Management System / Enterprise Risk Management) and treasury functions is an advantage.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including Word and report writing.

We have three high technology factories. Two are located in Ipoh, Malaysia, and a new third factory is located in Suzhou, China. The two factories in Malaysia, Carsem - M Site and Carsem - S Site, are 10 miles (16Km) apart. Ipoh is a 90 minute drive from Penang and 2.5 hours from Kuala Lumpur.

The factories are supported by extensive R&D and failure analysis staff and incorporate highly sophisticated, "state of the art" automated equipment, ensuring quality products which meet the exacting standards of all the automotive, telecom, computer and consumer goods industries. Both factories maintain world-class quality standards having achieved ISO/TS 16949, ISO-9001, ISO-14001 certifications and comply to the Sony Green Partner Program. They are supported with a global network of sales and technical support offices. The China factory, Carsem-Suzhou Ltd., is located in the province of Jiangsu, 50 miles (80Km) west of Shanghai. The new factory is 172K sq. ft. (16K sq. m.) and is on 645K sq. ft. (60K sq. m.) of land in the Suzhou Industrial Park. The construction was completed in January 2004, the staff has been through extensive training in Carsem's existing Malaysian factories and the assembly and test equipment to support the manufacture of the MLP (Micro Leadframe Package) Quad and Dual was installed during the second quarter of 2004. Customer qualifications were completed during the second quarter and the factory started shipping production volumes during the third quarter of 2004.
