Business Coordinator (Critical Care Unit)

Salary range: CI$49,800 - CI$66,984 per annum

The Business Coordinator provides business support and customer service to the manager, staff, and patients of the Critical Care Unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Receiving and directing visitors and calls at the nursing station.
  2. Registering patients for direct admissions.
  3. Coordinating post-admission appointments and patient transport between care areas.
  4. Receiving and delivering patient dockets to the unit.
  5. Inputting data into various spreadsheets, including admission and classification data.
  6. Monitoring the daily revenue cycle and reviewing revenue generated for completeness and accuracy.
  7. Creating internal requisitions (IRs) and new item forms for signature for the Procurement Department.
  8. Assisting with budgetary preparation and procuring quotes for capital items.
  9. Completing paperwork for all incoming equipment and capital requests.

Qualifications and Experience: The successful candidate should possess an Associates’ Degree in Business Administration with three (3) years’ experience in a customer service role OR five (5) years’ customer service experience in an office environment. Demonstrated proficiency in the use of written and spoken language and conversant in the use of clinical and other equipment utilized in the department. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel. Postholder must be able to exhibit a caring and compassionate attitude transcending diversity of religion, race, culture, sexual orientation, and diagnosis.

A remuneration and benefits package, commensurate with experience and qualifications, will be offered to the successful candidates.
