Job Description

Resource Planning: Leading a team responsible for planning and allocating resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to meet production targets and deadlines. Problem Solving: Leading a team on troubleshooting efforts to resolve manufacturing issues, whether related to process inefficiencies, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns. Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control and assurance teams to ensure that products meet all necessary specifications and quality standards. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure manufacturing engineering processes adhere to health and safety regulations, creating a safe working environment for employees. Training and Development: Managers identify training needs within the engineering team and facilitate relevant skill development and training programs to enhance their capabilities. Budget Management: Responsible for budget planning and cost control, ensuring that the department operates within allocated financial resources. Drive cost optimization/reduction activities. Continuous Improvement: Drive culture of continuous improvement within the department, encouraging the team to identify and implement innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing processes and product quality. Collaboration with other Departments: Work closely with other departments such as production, maintenance, and logistics to ensure seamless coordination and cooperation in achieving manufacturing goals. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of engineering processes, project progress, and other relevant information. Prepare regular reports for upper management on departmental performance and achievements.

Overall, Test Engineering Manager play a vital role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of manufacturing processes. They are instrumental in driving improvements, coordinating teams, and contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing operations within the company

Qualifications

Minimum Degree in Engineering/Science/Material Science

Additional Information

10 years or more working experience in high volume manufacturing environment. Proven leadership skill and strong Teamwork player Strong in Statistical, data analysis skills, IE knowledge, head count modelling & planning Strong Communication and project management skill
