Job Description

  • Market Penetration: Drive market penetration in key geographies and market segments, with a focus on new customer acquisition and increasing wallet share.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage the sales team, offering guidance, coaching, and support to ensure individual and team success. Support the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans, monitor progress, and make necessary adjustments.
  • Performance Monitoring: Oversee and evaluate sales performance, providing regular reports and insights to senior management.
  • Customer Relationships: Elevate relationships with top accounts to strategic partnerships by building trust, becoming an advisor, and working towards shared goals and mutual benefits.
  • Opportunity Identification: Analyze sales data and market trends to identify and seize new business opportunities, effectively communicating the strategic and financial value of company offerings to key customers.
  • Customer Understanding: Gain a deep understanding of customers' business strategies, market positions, and goals to tailor product and service offerings that create more value.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure exceptional customer experience by collaborating with Production Planning, Customer Care, Logistics, Quality, and other functional areas. Monitor KPIs and share company performance against SLAs/targets with external stakeholders.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work with Marketing and Product Development to align sales efforts with the company's market and customer strategies.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience: Proven track record in sales leadership with at least 15 years of direct B2B sales experience, and a minimum of 5 years in a sales management position. Experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or chemicals is preferred.
  • Educational Background: Highly numerate with an Honors Degree. Candidates with tertiary education or direct work experience in Europe or North America are preferred. An MBA and/or proficiency in other European languages is desirable.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team. A strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset and a demonstrated ability to drive sales growth.
  • Analytical Abilities: An analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Current Role: Currently in a senior Sales Management role, developing international sales and focusing on customer experience. Extensive experience with customers outside Asia and hands-on experience targeting multi-million-dollar B2B opportunities involving long sales processes and extended negotiations.
  • Customer Relationship: Confident in handling large accounts in a relationship role and offering significant strategic insights on building, growing, and deepening customer relationships.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and build lasting relationships with customers and partners.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate, present, and influence effectively at top organizational levels. Proficient in oral and written English, with highly developed presentation skills.
