What an Customs & Trade Compliance Ops Manager
does at HP:
- Provides complex-level logistics supporting high volume manufacturing operation.
- Solves complex issues and drives tactical and strategic initiatives, such as leading process standardizations; executing program strategies; or coordinating integration of small acquisitions.
- Monitors programs, delivery solutions, key metrics, and processoriented tasks; identifies issues and proposed solutions with limited guidance.
- Collaborates with or leads teams to maintain and enhance the current business objectives, such as cost
- Provides independent, analytic, and strategic support to logistics operation.
- Manage 3rd Party Logistics including Insourced Operations, Logistics Service Providers, Chemical Suppliers, Hazardous Waste Supplier & mentors lower level contributors.
- Involvement in Data Analytics and Future Supply Chain transformation as part of Industry 4.0 vision.
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- First level university degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Typically, 35 years of experience in a Manufacturing Operation's Logistics Customs and Trade Compliance.
- Vast knowledge in Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse (LMW) & SST Act and regulations
- Well versed with Customs Monthly reporting for LMW, M1/M2 & M3/M4 reporting.
- Freight and Warehousing Knowledge will be an added advantage
- Willingness to travel & work with partners across 3 operation sites for ops alignment and drive operations improvement plan.
- Strong understanding of HP's materials & distribution processes and functional contribution to business.
- Good knowledge of Freight Management, plus International Freight & Customs will be an added advantage.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office skills (Adv Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Working experience with SAP system
- Excellent team and project management skills, including project structuring.
- Exposure to Data Analytics and Reporting tools (Power BI, JMP and Etc) will be an added advantage.
