Job Description: We are looking for a high energy, driven leader with strong work ethic and integrity to join us as Payroll Team Lead, Malaysia.

As the team lead for Malaysia Payroll, you will be accountable for Payroll operations in Malaysia. You will be a key partner in designing and implementing solutions for Payroll in collaboration with the global team.

You will collaborate with peers, business stakeholders and customers to support business initiatives and ensure high quality services is delivered in Malaysia.

You will ensure that the services delivered are scalable, benchmark, optimized, and compliant to local statutory regulations, controls, and company policies.


Functional Roles and Responsibility:

  • Lead the Malaysia payroll team on the full spectrum of payroll operations and vendor management.
  • Ensure payroll is processed timely, accurately, and compliant with Malaysia's labor regulation and company's wage rule.
  • Implements and maintains operational procedures to support and govern payroll operations.
  • Define and review metrics to drive quality, effectiveness and efficiency in the service delivered
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory compliances, internal/external controls, and SOX controls.
  • Collaborate with Center of Excellences (COEs) and business stakeholders to deploy and maintain global programs in the region.
  • Establish strategic partnerships with vendors to ensure quality and cost effectiveness in the service delivered.
  • Responsible for the management, development, solutioning and continuous improvement for Payroll operational activities.
  • Responsible for the development of internal and external communications for payroll related matters.
  • Support internal, external and government audits.
  • Drive team performance to improve effectiveness and efficiency in alignment to global strategic objectives
  • Support all aspects of performance management and development for payroll team


Experience in Work Day, SAP Payroll and Service Now will be highly preferred Strong knowledge in local labor and taxation laws Experience in payroll transformation projects and implementation.


Experience:

Payroll experience with minimum 5-8 years and supervisory role of at least of 3-5 years
