Specific Duties and Responsibilities

JD as below:

  • Leads a group of staff from Purchasing & Logistic Department of the company to ensure highest contribution to company growth.
  • Responsible and manage the following department function areas in the organization:
  • Logistic & Warehouse
  • Purchasing
  • Major responsible in
    Logistics & Warehouse:
Ensure warehouse is functioning according to ISO/IATF requirement and is functioning effectively and efficiently

Review & lead store executive for continuous improvement at store area, including standardization on documentation, packing requirement, etc.

Drive for packaging improvement for cost saving and better packing condition, e

g:
compressed wood crate (fumigation not required) replacing wooden crate (fumigation required)

  • Major responsible in
    Purchasing:
Cost improvement activities, e.g. cost down plan, alternate items

Sourcing for new supplier for new part, meeting with supplier for new item requirement

Supplier audit activities

Purchaser responsibility planning, e.g. direct and indirect purchasing

Discuss with Finance when is payment related issue with supplier, and discussed with suppliers for continuous support

Driving for 2nd source suppliers development, e.g. tooling, packaging materials

Ensure the department is functioning according to ISO/IATF requirement, and review the AVL and ISO /IATF procedure to ensure it is up to date

Review and work out blanket order PO plan with purchaser for critical item

Weekly report review on the weekly purchase expense and clarify with related department if there is abnormal expense (high value)

Ensure special purchase items delivery, e.g. stamping machine, molding machine

Actively drive for department's improvement project

  • Review the (monthly/quarterly/yearly) report & (monthly/quarterly/yearly) department performance & goals & for continuous improvement
  • Planning the new goals for departmental (yearly)
  • Drive for effective CA/PA if there is any complaints
  • Attend Business Alignment Meeting & Operations Meeting. Communicate & pass the information to the department/subordinate.
  • Leads and motivate the staff to continuously improve & to provide quality service in meet customer requirement.
  • Day to day administration of employees in department.
  • Ensure support from department to plant wide activities, e.g. 5S gotong royong & activities
  • Follow up with Stamping in the special stamped part requirement (eg FA sample), and raw blank status
  • Responsible for identifying and developing a potential successors in the department through a systematic evaluation, mentoring & training to ensure smooth transition in the succession planning process
  • Ensure prompt reporting to ERT committees if any noncompliance deviation, including accident happened in the company.
  • Ensure housekeeping is maintained at all times in your work area & cooperation to assist committees to comply with ISO 14001, IATF 16949 & 5S requirement, rules & procedures.
  • To handle other tasks and duties as and when requested by superior.
  • To assist Group Operation Director on any other tasks that may assigned from time to time in support of the company business.
  • He/ she has responsibility & authority to set, implement & maintain the quality policy and objective to your department, besides provide a clear communication & training to employees to ensure they are following the company direction.
  • Responsible & authorize to review & evaluate production process or line, or machine, to determine its maximum output rata. This is including the infrastructure, facilities, processes, services & machines.
  • Responsible & authorize to manage & control information handling processes optimally with respect to time, storage, cost, and distribution. Besides using information technology to optimize logistics process in order to deliver the right product at the right place & time for the right people at the right price.
  • Responsible & authorize to update Quality Management System if and when there are any customer requirements and changes via their web portals.

Salary:
RM8, RM10,000.00 per month
