As a Territory Sales Manager (North and East Malaysia), you will focus on strengthening distribution partners and further develop strategic distribution channels in Malaysia to ensure the future growth of the premium and mid-tier market segments.

You will be reporting to Country Sales Manager. This role is based at Petaling Jaya and 50% of travelling is expected.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Northern & East Malaysia territory sales for Refinish and Industrial Coatings through growth strategy and lead the execution strategy with identified main customers.
  • Ensure that PPG meets EH&S regulations by observing guidelines and procedures for safe work practices. Educate customers in the safe use of all PPG products
  • Ensure profitability of the business by achieving monthly sales targets and increase market share through direct selling.
  • Monitor performance of Distributors and Refinishers against targets and secure business opportunities for PPG
  • Ensure the territory is serviced by Distributors by working with them to achieve sales targets
  • Ensure all existing customers requirements are met whilst looking for new business
  • Ensure that PPG is regarded as a specialist and market leader in the Refinish and Industrial Coatings field. Continue to maintain comprehensive technical and practical knowledge of the total PPG product range and competitor product ranges

Requirement

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent
  • Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
  • 2 or more years of sales and marketing experience is a plus
  • Experienced in building growth vision for the segment and what resources will be needed to achieve it
  • Experienced in provide technocommercial insight to prioritize delivery of business opportunities
  • Target oriented and independent
  • Experienced managing customer relationship
