Purpose of the job

The role of the Project Coordinator is to mainly support the Project Manager and the team (Core Team) in the administration and coordination of the project including documentation and communication for Internal and External.


The Project Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that:

  • The core Project Management processes are adhered to as per the global standards including planning, execution, monitoring, and control principles.
  • Monthly reporting requirements and governance elements (i.e. Gate Reviews) are prepared and executed.
  • Proper reporting on Project KPIs is done on a timely and regular basis for Internal and External.

Key responsibilities

  • Responsible for implementation and adherence of Project Management Processes within the Project (i.e. WBS, Detailed Project Schedule, JDDP, Customer Interface, Project Risk, Opportunity and Improvement Management, Project Launch including the Orange Book, Project Management Plan, Change Management and Contractual Obligation Management, Budget allocation and monitoring, Project Reporting internally both status and financial performance).
  • Responsible to be the primary contact to the PMO Office.
  • Supports the management of all contact and communication with the customer and stakeholders.
  • Coordinates and collates information according to monthly reporting requirements.
  • Follows up on open deliverables and tracking the External Submission Progress.
  • Plans and supports execution of the Project Gate Reviews.
  • Collect information related to Project KPIs to ensure proper progress control.

Key Requirements:

  • College or university degree or relevant work experience in rail or engineering industry.
  • Experience in Project Administration in a projectbased multinational environment.
  • Document control including Sharepoint and all other internal Tools.
  • Knowledge of Project Management, project planning techniques and etools.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to handle a large volume of documentation.
