Objective:

Our prestigious clients, a multinational corporation established in 1951, specializing in piping system material fabrication. As the company experiences significant growth, we are looking to hire a Procurement Assistant to join their expanding team.

Job Description:

  • Assist with sourcing, cost negotiations, credit term, and buying of raw materials, consumable items, spare parts, etc.
  • Screen quality and specification of goods delivered and costs charged by the suppliers.
  • Review purchase requests and prepare purchase orders to suppliers.
  • Maintain a full record and coordinate with various suppliers and compare costs for purchasing requisition within the organization.
  • Maintain proper records of purchases, quotations, supplier information, and other related documentation.
  • Follow up closely with the shipping & forwarding agent on all import shipments.
  • Provide product costing for the sales team and update costing from time to time.
  • Handle other ad-hoc matters assigned by superior.

Requirements:

  • Teamwork-oriented, high level of integrity, with the capacity to work independently.
  • Ability to work under pressure and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Good writing, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Computer literate, especially in MS Office applications and the internet.
  • Experience in word processing, spreadsheet management, and database management.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude and be a problem-solver.
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese to communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking suppliers.
