You will be supporting the Finance Manager, responsible for maintaining a SOX-compliant Finance function for Malaysia by participating in finance operations including audit and tax matters; and consolidate Finance/Accounting reporting, Budgeting and Forecasting of Malaysia entities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Accounting, Financial Reporting and Planning

  1. Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
  2. Preparation of judgemental journal i.e. payroll and accruals for review by Finance Manager.
  3. Assist the Finance Manager in monitoring the day-to-day financial operations within the company (payroll, invoicing, and other transactions) and ensure receivables and payables movement are closed on a timely basis.
  4. Responsible for staff expense claims validation, vouching and monthly payments.
  5. Assist the Finance Manager in statutory financial statements, audit-related and tax matters.
  6. Assist for month-end closing & year-end closing in a timely manner.
  7. Assist to ensure compliance to WPP SOX internal control standards and audit requirements in Malaysia.
PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE & DEMONSTRATED BEHAVIOURS
  1. Diploma in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field.
  2. Fresh graduates are welcomed; Candidate with at least 1-year relevant accounting experience has added advantages.
  3. Ability to manage conflict and multi-task across high pressure situations.
  4. Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  5. Good organization and administrative skills.
  6. Self-motivated, with initiative and meticulous.
  7. Excellent attention to detail.
