Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Applications & Distributor Business Manager who will play a critical role in driving sales growth through effective distributor management and providing comprehensive technical support for our medical device products. This position requires a blend of business acumen, technical expertise, and strong communication skills to ensure distributor success and customer satisfaction within the designated territory.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve sales targets through distributor networks.
  2. Identify, recruit, and onboard new distributors, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
  3. Establish and maintain strong relationships with key distributor personnel, providing ongoing support and guidance.
  4. Monitor distributor performance, analyze sales data, and implement corrective actions as needed.
  5. Conduct regular business reviews with distributors to assess performance and identify growth opportunities.
  6. Develop and execute joint sales and marketing initiatives with distributors.
  7. Forecast sales and manage inventory levels to ensure product availability.

Technical Support & Training:

  1. Provide expert technical support to distributors and end-users (hospitals, labs, clinics) on product applications, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  2. Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for distributor sales and technical teams.
  3. Conduct product demonstrations and clinical applications training for healthcare professionals.
  4. Resolve complex technical issues and escalate to internal support teams as necessary.
  5. Stay up-to-date on product updates, technical advancements, and industry best practices.
  6. Act as a technical liaison between distributors, customers, and internal departments.
  7. Provide onsite technical support and equipment maintenance when needed.

Market Analysis & Reporting:

  1. Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends and opportunities.
  2. Prepare regular reports on sales performance, distributor activities, and technical support metrics.
  3. Provide feedback to product development and marketing teams on customer needs and market requirements.
  4. Maintain accurate records of distributor activities, customer interactions, and technical support cases.

Qualifications & Requirements

  1. Bachelor's degree in biomedical sciences, biochemistry, microbiology, medical technology, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical diagnostics, technical support, or business development.
  3. Strong understanding of medical diagnostics, laboratory equipment, and infectious disease testing.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, Malay, and Mandarin.
  5. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and within a team.
  6. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to provide technical solutions to clients.
  7. Willingness to travel within the assigned territory to support clients and business operations.
