Fire Protection Business Development Manager

Job Description:
As a Business Development Manager at Fireaway, you will play a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of our business. You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships, and developing strong relationships with key stakeholders. Your primary objective will be to increase market penetration and revenue generation while maintaining our reputation for excellence in fire suppression solutions within the Asia Region.
The role reports directly to the Regional Vice President – Sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis and Strategy Development:
Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and potential competitors. Develop comprehensive business strategies to capitalize on market insights and achieve sales targets. Identify niche markets and new application areas for Stat-X Aerosol and Ultrasense products. - Lead Generation and Client Acquisition:
Proactively identify and pursue new business leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and industry events. Cultivate relationships with potential clients, understanding their needs, and positioning Stat-X Aerosol as the preferred fire suppression solution provider. Collaborate with the sales team to convert leads into long-term clients and strategic partners. - Partnership Development:
Establish and nurture strategic partnerships with distributors, resellers, and other stakeholders to expand market reach and enhance brand visibility. Negotiate partnership agreements and manage ongoing relationships to ensure mutual growth and success. Explore collaboration opportunities with industry influencers, trade associations, and regulatory bodies to promote Stat-X Aerosol and Ultrasense solutions. - Customer Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and customer support, to ensure timely delivery and implementation of solutions. Gather feedback from clients to identify areas for improvement and drive product enhancements. - Sales Performance Analysis and Reporting:
Track sales metrics, market trends, and competitor activities to assess performance and identify areas for optimization. Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and growth opportunities. Utilize CRM systems and other tools to maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or related roles within the fire protection sector.
- Strong understanding of fire suppression systems, aerosol technology, and industry regulations (NFPA, UL, FM, etc.).
- Knowledge in industrial sensors, automation products, and their applications is a plus.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant tools.
- Track record of delivering growth within Asia.
