Your Mission
As the Regional Sales Manager (f/m/d) of Trench Group in South East Asia, your day kicks off with navigating the dynamic market landscape, responding to requests for quotations, and catching up on project statuses. Post-lunch, you're planning and organizing customer visits—be it to a state-of-the-art factory for routine testing or presenting our latest sustainable product innovations. You're always on the lookout for fresh strategies to identify, influence, and cater to market needs, driving sales forward. How you'll make an impact
- Customer Relationships: Strengthen relationships with key customers, particularly OEM's. Serve as the primary point of contact, representing the full range of Trench Group's products and services.
- Sales pursue: Support sales opportunities development with relevant factories and provide accurate forecasting.
- Market Development: Enhance the sales network across Asia pacific for Bushings. Drive market penetration that requires product approval / homologation in power utilities market or high-level product influencing activities.
- Market Intelligence: Gather and analyze insights on customer behavior, industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to drive business growth.
- Lead Generation: Proactively prospect the market for new leads and opportunities. Keep an eye on market trends and competitor activities.
- Performance Analysis: Conduct forecasting with high accuracy, reporting, and win-loss analysis.
- Manage Sales channel eg. Agents, resellers / partners in assigned region.
- Close coordination with factory offer management team, providing market price information to factories in order to offer technical and commercial competitive proposal.
What you bring
- Experience & Education: At least 5 years of technical sales experience, paired with a master's or bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering. Front end sales and channel partner experience would be an advantage.
- Performance: Proven and consistent sales track record year on year basis.
- Product Knowledge: Possess good understanding of high-voltage products and related markets. Experience with transmission and distribution in power utility market is highly desirable.
- Skills: Self-motivated, with excellent organizational, customer, and negotiation skills. Creative, flexible, and open-minded.
- Customer-driven mindset, persistent and decisive behavior in sales closures.
- Market Understanding: Good knowledge of the Asia pacific market and cultural nuances will be an added advantage.
- Language Proficiency: Fluency in English is required, with excellent written and oral communication skills. Multilingual ability is preferred especially Bahasa Malaysia and English. Mandarin is an added advantage.
- Travel: Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
