Description and Requirements

As the Lead University Relations Asia Pacific, you will spearhead Lenovo's efforts to attract, engage, and hire top-tier diverse talent across key markets, including India, Malaysia, Japan, Australia, and Taiwan. You will design and execute scalable university hiring programs and initiatives that align with Lenovo's mission and global best practices. This is an opportunity to shape Lenovo's talent strategy, strengthen university partnerships, and position the company as an employer of choice in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute a university hiring strategy that aligns with Lenovo's global objectives while addressing local market nuances.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and plan for future workforce needs.
  • Develop and oversee impactful internship and graduate programs across Asia Pacific to create a pipeline of future-ready talent.
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with top universities to enhance Lenovo's visibility within the academic community.
  • Drive employer branding efforts to position Lenovo as a preferred employer among emerging talent pools.
  • Introduce innovative engagement strategies and events tailored to regional markets.
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to senior leaders, offering strategic hiring recommendations.
  • Optimize recruitment processes to ensure efficiency and inclusivity, leveraging design thinking and data-driven decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and Diversity, to execute seamless hiring initiatives.
  • Plan and execute career fairs, workshops, and engagement programs to attract diverse talent.
  • Track and analyze recruiting metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Foster alignment with Lenovo's global talent acquisition standards while adapting to the needs of AP markets.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Have 8–10 years of experience in university relations or talent acquisition, with at least 2 years of managing Asia Pacific or global programs.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of leading recruitment initiatives across Asia Pacific markets.
  • Show exceptional relationship-building skills with academic institutions and internal stakeholders.
  • Exhibit advanced project management and analytical capabilities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
  • Possess strong adaptability and problem-solving skills, thriving in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
  • Bring experience in diversity hiring, employer branding, and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and other recruitment tools.
  • Have a proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Communicate and collaborate effectively across diverse stakeholder groups.
