Business Development Team Lead

This job is for a Business Development Team Lead (Mandarin Speaker) who will oversee a team, develop strategies, build client relationships, identify new markets, collaborate with teams, track KPIs, and negotiate deals. - Lead and Manage the Team: Oversee and mentor a team of business development professionals, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure team members meet their performance goals and contribute to overall company growth.
- Develop and Execute Strategies: Create and implement business development strategies to identify new opportunities, expand the company's market presence, and drive revenue growth in target industries.
- Build and Maintain Client Relationships: Cultivate strong relationships with key clients and prospects, understanding their needs and positioning the company's products/services to align with those needs for long-term partnerships.
- Identify and Pursue New Markets: Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitor activity, and untapped market segments, then leverage this information to develop new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with sales, marketing, product, and customer service teams to ensure alignment on business objectives, promotional strategies, and service offerings.
- Track and Report on KPIs: Monitor and evaluate team performance, tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing regular reports on progress, challenges, and areas for improvement to senior management.
- Negotiate and Close Deals: Lead high-level negotiations with potential clients, securing new business agreements and closing deals that contribute to achieving company revenue targets.
Qualifications:
- Possess at least a Diploma in Business Administration, Marketing, or similar field.
- At least 5 years of work experience in Sales or Business Development.
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Fluency in Mandarin is required, as the role involves interacting with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Experience or knowledge in HRMS software is a strong advantage.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and network effectively.
- Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to travel to regional hubs to support business growth.
- Must possess personal transportation to meet clients on-site, if necessary.
