The Role
You will be at the front seat in delivering the best service and experience to our customers through retail operations and expansion. For retail, you will drive the business expansion while strategically opening stores whenever it is suitable and help shape the retail playbook delivering the best retail experience to our customers. In operations, you will uphold the highest standard of excellence to be the best in class. You will be leading one of the biggest departments in Love, Bonito Indonesia. Your role entails being in charge of the day-to-day decision making, retail financial success and strategic business expansion, you will shape a large contribution for the growth of the company in the next few years. You will be directly reporting to the Country Head and will work closely with the Retail HQ team in Singapore.
Main Responsibilities
Retail Operations
- Lead the retail team which includes the area manager, store manager; making clear JD & KPI for each team member and aiding them to achieve it.
- Build the right end-to-end employee experience for the Retail team to improve retention rate from hiring, onboarding, evaluation, etc.
- Hire and train team members to bring LB core values to life; Making sure all the retail team embodies the brand and its vision.
- Point out problematic areas and seek to constantly improve policies, operational procedures and internal processes.
- Store visits to spot training gaps, evaluate effectiveness of recent training and build strong relationships with store teams.
- Projects include: Initiatives for customer loyalty, marketing plan and projects related to leveraging current retail presence.
- Key person in liaising cross-department functions to ensure day-to-day operations.
- Create a strategic plan for LB retail expansion to address new customer and revenue growth opportunities head-on; includes planning and budget management, leveraging financial and smart calculated business decisions.
- Conduct market research and reach out to landlords for offers and negotiations.
Business Development: Retail Strategic Expansion
- Constant innovation in balancing both sales and customer experience; making LB the most-wanted brand in town.
- Accountable to report to the Regional Manager for the retail performances and future growth plans.
- Analyze store performance and feed relevant and insightful information to other departments such as Merchandising, BI, and Marketing.
- Maintain good relationships with external parties such as landlords, malls, department stores, contractors, etc.
- Securing strategic out-of-home advertising opportunities, fostering bank partnerships, and managing loyalty programs with malls to enhance brand visibility and footfall.
- Ability to propose and execute an opening or closing of stores/counters depending on business needs and strategies.
- Rental negotiations and feasibility study for existing retail locations during contract renewals and/or crisis management.
- Managing end-to-end Retail Store Opening projects when relevant.
Requirements & Experiences:
- 5+ years of experience in retail and have had prior credentials as brand manager, retail area manager, business development or related experience.
- BA/BS degree in business, marketing, economics or other related fields.
- Detail-oriented, highly analytical and distinctly logical.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with high goals and KPIs by delivering quick results.
- Excellent leadership skills in growing a high-spirited team, leading various levels of staff/team members.
