**Veterinary Clinic Staff (Veterinary Assistant & Front Office)**

We are looking for a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our team as a veterinary clinic staff member. This role combines the responsibilities of both a veterinary assistant and a front office receptionist, offering a well-rounded experience in the veterinary field.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist veterinarians during consultations, treatments, and surgeries.
- Prepare medications and animals for surgery.
- Care for warded animals.
- Maintain clinic cleanliness.
- Handle various species of animals.
- Greet clients in a friendly and professional manner.
- Inform veterinarians about (walk-in) emergency cases immediately.
- Answer phone calls and messages, redirecting to WhatsApp for appointments as needed.
- Make appointments using the Kreloses system, assigning cases to the correct veterinarians and timing.
- Assist veterinarians by explaining medication administration to clients.
- Coordinate clinic flow to ensure smooth operation and timely breaks for staff and veterinarians.
- Put up signage (open/closed signs).
- Update owners on the condition of hospitalized and boarding pets according to veterinarian instructions.
- Manage client expectations and politely ask clients without appointments to wait.
- Perform other duties as instructed by the employer.

**Skills Required**:

- Proper animal restraining skills (preferred)
- Basic pharmaceutical knowledge (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills (both written and spoken in English and Malay)
- Multitasking skills
- Empathy, emotional control, and a positive attitude
- The ability to follow instructions precisely
- Meticulousness
- Teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Professional appearance and demeanor

**Requirements**:

- Diploma or certificate in animal health, animal science, or a related field (preferred)
- SPM/Diploma (minimum)
- No animal or dust allergies
- No fear of animals
