Repair Team Lead

**Job Overview**
The **Repair Team Lead **works under the purview of the Production/Assistant Production Manager. Responsibilities: carry out work planning and distribution of work tasks amongst Repair personnel.
This includes supervising repair work to ensure work tasks are executed well by the team under supervision as well as work allocated to body work and re-spray personnel.
The Repair Team Lead leads troubleshooting and diagnostics activities, research and development, preventive and corrective action plans, service recovery and is responsible for feasibility cost management. This requires auditing and working with suppliers both local and international in parts selection/purchasing and quality management.
The Team Leads also works with the Production/Assistant Manager to execute continuous improvement projects that will drive better resource management, productivity and quality.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**RMA Buffer Planning (Rental)**
- Responsible for job distribution by individual (Planning).
- Requires continuous coordination between repair and spray techs and monitoring for work completion.
- Requires continuous decision making on what items to priorities or alternatives to recommend by collaborating with PSMO and sales.
- Tracing productivity output vs planned target for techs.
- Monitors units/ parts request, utilization and returning and verifies against inventory aging to ensure grading/ comments are correctly updated.
- Performs feasibility reporting and coordinates with Mat Planning and Procurement for parts purchase.
- Checking of units to ensure all in good order and facilitate AQL.
**Rental Buffer/ NPI Units**
- Responsible for job distribution by individual (Planning).
- Continuous coordination between repair and spray techs and monitoring for work completion.

- Monitors units/ parts request, utilization and returning and verifies against inventory aging to ensure grading/ comments are correctly updated.
- Performs feasibility reporting and coordinates with Mat Planning and Procurement for parts purchase.
- Checking of units to ensure all in good order and facilitate AQL.
**Other responsibilities to be covered**
- Conducts daily briefings to ensure the team are aware of their work priorities.
- Works with the Production Team to ensure Service Level Turnaround time is met for IT equipment orders.
- Leads troubleshooting and problem resolution activities.
- Provides sound and in-depth technical expertise when leading troubleshooting, diagnostics, R&D activities and repair activities.
- Leads service recovery efforts in the event of equipment malfunctions.
- Main liaison for branch operations where IT equipment repair is required.
- Manages outsourced partner arrangements to perform IT equipment repair and ensures all reports are completed and equipment is checked, inventoried and accounted for upon receipt.
- Checks administrative work accuracy - Feasibility Report compilation and submission.
- Creates and maintains standard working instruction and procedures. (SOI & SOP)
- Ensures all SOIs and SOPs are adhered to.
- Ensures quality meets QC guidelines/processes/standards.
- Performs IPC (in process checks) on repair work.
- Conducts a weekly quality issue review with the team to root cause and improve quality.
- Ensures resource utilization is optimized across teams by multi-skilling team members.
- Works with the relevant departments to implement the usage of tools to enhance work processes and is responsible for the maintenance and care of these assets.
- Liaises and represents the department where collaboration is required between departments, suppliers, clients.
- Ensures that health and safety guidelines are followed.
- Ensures upkeep, cleanliness and organization of the work floor (5S)
- Reviews the work performance of the team with the Production/Assistant Production Manager.
**Customer Service**
- Follows up to ensure timely and appropriate actions are taken on customers' requests and responds to all complaints, and queries received.
- Maintains and develops inter departmental relationships.
- Performs service recovery for customer related issues.
**Qualifications**
- Min: Diploma in IT/Computer Science
- Comptia A + Certification
**Experience**
- Minimum of 5 years’ technical experience in the IT Hardware field. PC/Network/Server support and management experience is needed.
- Well versed in IT Hardware troubleshooting and knowledge with a system builder or related industry will be an added advantage.
- Has led and managed a team of technical personnel
- E&E certification/IT hardware repair experience.
**Salary**: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
