DESIGNATION : Assistant Manager, Events

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organise events including conferences, exhibitions, virtual events and other meetings from conception to completion across the Asia Pacific region.
- Professionally coordinate, manage the set-up and production of the event on site, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality event.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize revenue generation opportunities for events.
- Responsible for preparing proposals and pitches, and the development of the event strategy including the creative direction, budget, logistic, production, technical and programming aspects of the events.
- Identify and secure sponsorship opportunities for events, working closely with potential sponsors to tailor packages that meet their needs and align with event objectives.
- Work with the Event Director to develop an operational strategy to ensure high levels of production values and adapt strategy with objectives continuously improving on SOPs where necessary.
- Build relationships with key customers to understand both specific and wider market needs, feeding trends / issues back into event strategy.
- Collaborate with the Event Director to forecast revenue, track progress against sales targets, and provide regular reports on sales performance.
- Support the Event Director in the management of the P&L, including successful delivery of complementary products including conferences and seminars.
- Support the Event Director in overseeing the Event floorplan, escalating any strategic decisions where required.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Comprehensive knowledge of the B2B / B2C events.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in project, sponsorship, and operation management for exhibitions and/or large-scale events and/or conferences.
- Demonstrated success in sales management roles within the events industry, with a track record of exceeding revenue targets.
- Strong understanding of market trends and customer needs.
- Ability to define a sales strategy and supporting campaigns to execute against a set of targets.
- Meticulous, proactive, and dynamic with ability to work independently and in a team.
- Able to multi-task, work in fast-paced environment, and possess strong time-management skills.
- Strong communications and follow-trough skills.
- Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office.
- Proficiency in English is required.
- Proficiency in Mandarin is advantageous.
