As a Banking and Trading Operations Executive / Senior Executive, you will play a pivotal role within our Operations team, working closely with the Banking Operations Manager, Client Services, Investment Team, Engineering, Product Teams and other teams to ensure the seamless execution of banking and trading operations and an unparalleled client experience.

The role is responsible for brokerage operations functions, including execution of cash transfers, transactional due diligence, customer due diligence, reporting, trade execution and settlement, trade support, trading performance analysis, trading process improvements etc.

The role requires the individual to constantly think of ways to make complicated tasks simple and more efficient, while keeping a keen eye on the big picture. They grasp complex topics quickly and are adept at thinking on their feet to solve problems in a creative and holistic manner.

**Responsibilities**:
**Banking Operations responsibilities**:

- Process and check daily deposits and withdrawals (includes Suspicious Transaction Monitoring) for multiple regions (SG, MY, HK, AE, TH)
- Execute daily fund transfers, managing the end-to-end money flow of customers' funds investment.
- Review sanctions screening results to facilitate risk profiling of customers.
- Monitor reconciliations, ensure that balances are accurate, and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner.
- Work with the Client Services team to contact customers for the purposes of transaction verifications (e.g. obtaining proof of fund transfer when necessary)

**Trading Ops responsibilities**:

- Possess solid understanding of underlying products/trading instruments that are being traded
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of trades as per the firm's strategies.
- Monitor and manage trading risks, including market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and compliance risk. Implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses.
- Oversee the settlement process for trades, ensuring proper clearance, confirmation, and settlement of transactions. This involves working closely with the brokerage firm and monitoring of our internal trading system.
- Provide support to other internal stakeholders by handling trade-related inquiries, resolving operational issues, and ensuring smooth functioning of trading systems and platforms.
- Analyze trading performance, evaluate strategies, and identify areas for improvement. Generate metrics to assess the effectiveness of trading operations.
- Identify inefficiencies in trading processes and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and automation where possible.
- Collaborate with different departments such as investment, product, and engineering team to ensure alignment of trading operations with broader organizational goals and strategies.
- Collaborate with investment team to optimize order execution strategies to minimize transaction costs and slippages.

**Provide Ad Hoc Support to Banking Operations Manager**:

- Assist the Operations team in resolving transactional issues (e.g. stalled withdrawals, reconciliation discrepancies) together with the Tech team.
- Prepare monthly reports (e.g. Reconciliation Report, Operations KPI Report, regulatory reporting)
- Support the gathering of data for internal and external audit / regulatory inspections and the coordination of information for routine regulatory reporting.
- Support operational issue investigation, supported by understanding of operational data and its analysis
- Take ownership of operational tasks and continuously find ways to improve the efficiency of such tasks.
- Undertake and participate in ad hoc operations projects to contribute to changes made throughout the organization.

**Requirements**:

- Min 2 years working experience in Trading/Trading Operations within financial institutions such as assets management firms, banks, brokerage firms etc.
- Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field is a plus
- Proven experience in trading execution and strategy development in financial markets.
- Exposure to and/or passionate interest in financial markets, asset classes, market structure, industry news, and related trading systems.
- Exceptional organizational skills, adaptability, and acute attention to detail are paramount.
- Ability to grasp complex concepts swiftly and creatively solve problems on-the-fly.
- A team player, adept at working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, adjusting to changes while maintaining determination and efficiency.
- Experience with a variety of technical competencies is desirable, which may include one or more of the following: SQL, Metabase, Trading Platforms, Phyton
