**Position Overview**
Under limited supervision, deliver training programs that meet employee learning needs by producing uniform and consistently designed instructor-led and stand-alone training courses and documentation focused on usage of enterprise Data Administration Systems. Communicate system changes and update documentation accordingly. Serve as a key training resource and consultant for Regional Operations designing, developing and delivering required training. As a key interface between the business and IT teams, the Instructional Designer will play a critical role in ensuring that administration system users are well informed and proficient in leveraging our system, thereby enhancing its efficiency and effectiveness across the organization.

**Responsibilities**
- Deliver training and education programs that improve job skills and prepare employees to leverage RGA system enhancements using proven platform and one-on-one techniques that facilitate participation while employing accepted learning methodologies.
- Interview Subject Matter Experts (SME) to determine business-specific aspects of systems and work with SME’s to design training programs, including learning objectives, handouts, job aids, user manuals, corporate communications and resource materials that are pertinent to training being delivered.
- Collaborate with Regional Operations Business Owners to develop and maintain end-user manuals for system changes/enhancements that support accepted processes and procedures while increasing employee productivity and accuracy.
- Design and conduct pre and post-course assessments as appropriate demonstrating knowledge or skill transfer improvements that meet or exceed stated objectives and enter training results into tracking logs.
- Consult with Regional Operations Business Owners to identify needed employee training, assess job improvements following delivery of training and education programs and modify programs accordingly based on job improvements and post-course evaluations.
- Monitor changes to the administration system and proactively update training materials and courses to ensure they are current, relevant, and beneficial to users.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for system users who have queries or need further guidance post-training, ensuring users are well-supported in their day-to-day operations.
- Stay updated with latest instructional design methodologies and technological advancements in training delivery, ensuring that the company’s training standards are up to date and align with industry best practices.

**Requirements** Education and Experience**

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, instructional design, education, communication, or related field.
- 5 years related experience in instructional design, training delivery, and curriculum development.
- Demonstrated experience with various training delivery methods, including in-person and virtual session.
- Hands-on experience using training software, and tools such as Learning Management Systems (LMS), eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), and video editing tools.

Preferred:

- Proven track record in designing and implementing training programs for technical or software-based systems, preferably in the financial industry / insurance or reinsurance domain.
- Basic understanding of IT systems, preferably administration systems used in the insurance or reinsurance industry.
- Certifications related to instructional design or training would be preferred.

**Skills**

Required:

- Ability to design effective and engaging training modules and materials that cater to the needs of diverse leaner groups.
- Understanding of IT systems to design training around software functionalities and business processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work closely and effectively with both business and IT teams, understanding their needs, and translating them into effective training solutions.
- Ability to adapt training materials in response to system updates and changing business needs.
- Skills in organizing, prioritizing, and managing multiple training projects concurrently to ensure timely and efficient delivery.
- Ability to assess the effectiveness of training programs, gather feedback, and make necessary adjustments to improve learning outcomes.
- Intermediate negotiating and persuasion skills
- Ability to travel within region as required.

**Technical Requirements**

Required:

- Proficient in using and managing LMS platforms to host, distribute, and track training modules.
- Expertise in platforms used for creating interactive eLearning courses.
- Advanced MS Office Suite skills (especially PowerPoint and Word) and familiarity with documentation tools.
- Skills in video editing software to produce training videos.
- Understanding of IT systems, preferably administration systems used in insurance
