An Commercial Interline & Partnership - Manager plays a crucial role in managing relationships and partnerships between different airlines, ensuring smooth interline operations, and optimizing the overall efficiency of interline agreements.
The Interline & Partnership Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing interline agreements and partnerships with other airlines. The role involves managing the end-to-end interline process, fostering strong relationships with partner airlines, and ensuring seamless cooperation for the benefit of both parties.
Key Responsibilities:
Interline Agreement Management:
- Negotiate and establish interline agreements with partner airlines, defining terms, conditions, and operational procedures.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and legal requirements in the development and execution of interline agreements.
Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with partner airlines, fostering collaboration and open communication.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for interline partners, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive working relationship.
Operational Oversight:
- Collaborate with internal departments such as operations, finance, and customer service to ensure the seamless execution of interline services.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of interline operations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and execute strategic business decisions and projects to transform interline management
Contract Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to contractual obligations by both parties, monitoring performance metrics, and addressing any deviations from agreed-upon terms.
- Conduct periodic reviews of interline agreements to assess their effectiveness and make recommendations for modifications as needed.
Communication and Training:
- Facilitate effective communication between departments and interline partners to streamline processes and resolve issues promptly.
- Provide training and support to internal staff regarding interline procedures and compliance.
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitive landscape to identify opportunities for expanding or optimizing interline partnerships.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of interline professionals, providing guidance, support, and fostering a culture of excellence.
- Conduct performance reviews and contribute to the professional development of team members.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Aviation Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in airline operations, partnerships, or related roles.
- Familiarity with interline settlement systems and processes - IATA ICH
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of airline industry regulations and practices.
- Data-driven with strong analytical skills and the ability to critically break down complex issues to determine root causes and solutions moving forward
- Excellent time management and organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Do what is needed to get things done, as they believe speed is more important than anything else to effect change
- Familiarity with airline operations and the aviation industry.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and make real-time decisions.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work with large datasets.
- Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to changing market dynamics.
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders.
