**Position Title**:

- Assistant Manager, Alliance & Partnership

**Reports To**:

- Manager, Alliance & Partnership

**Role Purpose**:
Manage and develop all global airline cooperation/partnerships key to producing partnership revenues for Malaysia Airlines. Airline Partnerships is a strategically important component for Malaysia Airlines’ Corporate Planning and Revenue initiatives, by developing and strengthening our partnership network. Emphasis will be on strengthening and growing existing partnerships and ensuring and negotiating maximum financial retention. Whilst at the same time determining network and global opportunities for perspective new and relevant partnerships. You are responsible for defining SPA/Codeshare/JV opportunities, thus driving significant incremental revenue for the Malaysia Aviation Group.

**Key Accountability**:

- Manage contract and agreement of MH's current commercial global airline partnerships to ensure increased incremental revenue for the group.
- Conduct data analysis and regular performance reviews of key bilateral, codeshare and SPA partners to identify shortcomings and potential opportunities. Recommend proposals/solutions to interline issues.
- Analyze, negotiate, formulate, implement, distribute and maintain SPA, Codeshare, Joint Venture and other interline agreements.
- Responsible for audit and data analysis of partnership data
- ensure maximum financial retention is achieved whilst generating increased sales associated with negotiated rates. Maintain our current 'early warning' reports to protect revenue
- Conduct data analysis and regular performance reviews of key bilateral, codeshare and SPA partners to identify shortcomings and potential opportunities. Recommend proposals/solutions to interline issues.

**Qualifications**:

- Degree in Finance / Accounting or Business Administration with 3-5 years - major network carrier in a commercial function with Partnership experience

**Skill & Knowledge**:

- Must possess excellent commercial, analytical and communication skills that are focused on results and work well under pressure.
- Considerable experience of negotiating and implementing global and strategically important contracts and agreements.
- Have an in depth understanding of the airline partnership industry/business - including SPA/Codeshare/Joint Venture and Prorate methodology.
- Must possess strong presentation/communication skills, think outside the box, have interest to innoviate processes and streamline procedures.

**Key Challenges**:

- Maintain a consistent high level of performance and accuracy. Ensure the set SLA is adherred too, and set expectations for Pricing (Interline) team.
- Work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines.
- Required negotiations skills to deal with partners airlines.
