**Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**
**1. Food Preparation**:
- Assist in the preparation of seafood dishes, including cleaning, filleting, and portioning seafood items.
- Follow recipes and guidelines provided by senior chefs to ensure consistency and quality.
**2. Seafood Handling**:
- Implement proper seafood handling procedures to maintain freshness and prevent cross-contamination.
- Adhere to hygiene and safety protocols in compliance with food safety regulations.
**3. Station Organization**:
- Maintain a clean and organised work station, ensuring all equipment and utensils are properly sanitised.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring and rotating seafood stock.
**4. Collaboration**:
- Work closely with other kitchen staff to coordinate and expedite orders during service.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure seamless kitchen operations.
**5. Quality Control**:
- Participate in regular tastings and quality checks to uphold the standards of seafood dishes.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with ingredients promptly to senior chefs.
**6. Menu Development Support**:
- Collaborate with the culinary team in developing and testing new seafood recipes.
- Provide feedback and insights on the flavour profiles and presentation of seafood dishes.
**7. Cleaning and Maintenance**:
- Contribute to general kitchen cleaning duties, including equipment cleaning and maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with sanitation standards to create a safe and hygienic working environment.

**Qualifications***:1. Culinary degree or relevant culinary certification is a plus.
2. Previous experience in a kitchen environment, especially in seafood preparation, is advantageous.
3. Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
4. Ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately.
5. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
6. Physical stamina and agility to handle kitchen tasks.
7. Flexibility to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
**Salary**: From RM1,900.00 per month
