General Manager, Food Manufacturing

Formulate and execute strategic initiatives aimed at attaining the company's objectives and aspirations.
- To set annual strategic plans which include setting objectives and performance matrix for the functional departments.
- To set long term strategic plans in collaboration with the Managing Director and the Board of Directors.
- Work collaboratively with the management team to identify, resolve and manage operational issues and challenges to achieve business objectives
- To oversee and direct day-to-day operations of all departments and establish processes that will maximize efficiency, safety, quality, productivity, cost, response and planning.
- Monitor daily operations, report, and resolve abnormalities. Implement cost-saving strategies and maximize resource utilization.
- Plan, manage, and lead manufacturing team for production optimization, product safety and quality.
- To monitor and increase production while ensuring wastage control, effective use of resources, and sufficient stock to meet customer demand
- Responsible for continuous improvement in production output, quality, and waste reduction. In collaboration with various department to ensure smooth operations.
- Work closely with the Quality Control team to address and resolve any product quality issues and to implement corrective actions.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational objectives.
- Set & meet annual sales/budget targets.
- Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Monitor budgetary adherence and implement cost-control measures.
- Analyze financial data to make informed business decisions.
- Work closely with the HR & Purchasing Department.
- Implement strategies, reviewing and setting triggers to ensure KPIs and objectives are met in respective division
- Develop mid to long term business plans & targets.
- Drive effective stakeholder management at all different working levels with presentation to the senior management and Board of Directors.
Requirement
- A Bachelor's Degree / Master in Biotechnology, Food Technology/Science, Food Engineering, Administration or equivalent
- At least 5 years of working experience in food manufacturing industry, knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control or management role.
- Must have basic knowledge in FSSC22000, ISO22000, GMP and HACCP
- Exposure to senior management function (part of senior leadership team would be an advantage) & involved in strategic/high level decision making.
- Excellent interpersonal, leadership, planning, organisational, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Possess a global mindset, strong analytical mind, a strategic thinker and have good business acumen.
- Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English
