**Duties include but will not be limited to the following**:
- To ensure security of all records under the purview of the Registry and Exam Unit.
- Oversees the management of policies, processes, and operations of the Registrar's Office and provide leadership, innovation, vision, and accountability for the management of all records, registration policies, and services that support student success.
- Provides oversight for the integrity and accuracy of student academic record-keeping and transcript production and integrity in compliance with the College's academic policies and standards.
- Coordinate course registration process by developing and implementing registration procedures. Work with the academic department to develop class schedules and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- The custodian of academic policies and regulations. Interpret and enforce college policies related to student registration, grading, academic standing, and graduation requirements. Provide guidance to students, faculty, and staff regarding these policies.
- Facilitate the graduation process.
- Evaluate and process transfer credits from other institutions. Review course descriptions and transcripts to determine the equivalency of courses and credits earned at previous institutions, ensuring a smooth transfer process for students.
- Develop and maintain the academic calendar, including important dates such as registration periods, add/drop deadlines, examination schedules, and holidays. Disseminate the calendar to students, faculty, and staff.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations pertaining to student records and academic operations. Generate reports on enrolment statistics, graduation rates, and other relevant data as required by accrediting bodies or government agencies.
- Collaborate with various college departments, including admissions, financial aid, advising, and academic departments, to facilitate effective communication and coordination. Participate in committees and task forces related to student services, policy development, and institutional planning.
- Oversee the implementation and management of student information systems, ensuring that they are efficient, secure, and user-friendly. Stay updated on technological advancements in their field to leverage innovative solutions for record-keeping and registration processes.
- Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and external stakeholders. Respond to inquiries, resolve issues related to student records, and assist with academic-related concerns,
- Any other duties that are reasonably assigned.
**Desired Skills & Qualifications**:
- Minimum a Bachelor’s degree, having a Masters would be advantageous.
- Preferred a minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in the capacity of Assistant Registrar
- Experience in working with MOHE, MQA and other relevant professional accreditation bodies.
- Sound knowledge of MQA and MOHE regulations and standards.
- Fluent in written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English.
- Detail-oriented and customer service and compliance-focused
- Well-developed administrative and organisational skills.
- Independent and able to work with minimum supervision.
