Our Claims professionals support AIG policyholders through some of the most trying times. When our clients face losses large and small, we step up to help them ease the financial burdens of catastrophic events like fires and hurricanes; we help them get their businesses back up and running again or recoup the value of a lost family heirloom or a prized possession. Our Claims team is an industry leader, drawing daily on its unparalleled levels of expertise to offer our clients the highest levels of stewardship to drive total cost of claim improvement and consistent outcomes. AIG manages claims using a wealth of technical and market knowledge about risks, business practices, and the ever-evolving legal and regulatory environment.
About the role
What you need to know:
Accountabilities for the role:
- Managing key claims handling enquiry; coverage determination and liability assessment for PL Auto express claims, where appropriate within authority limits and providing a consistently strong standard of customer service.
- Ensuring effective management of express claims within a personal allocation
- Broader internal/external stakeholder communication where required
- Continuous improvement on claim files handling with feedback and support through the Quality Assurance Review processes
- Contribute to the maintenance of best practice procedures for PL Auto express claims, consistent with global best practice
- Demonstrate a basic competence and fraud detection analytic skill
- Demonstrate a strong standard of competence in handling and resolving express claims within TAT
Accountabilities
- Timely, accurate and customer-focused claim resolution
- Effective communication of key advanced express claims and portfolio messages to internal stakeholders.
- Financial control through the consistent reserve and other financial transaction disciplines
- Accurate and consistent policy interpretation
What we’re looking for:
Requirement
- Intermediate knowledge in auto express claims topics and experience
- Policy language skills enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation
- Good communication skills, both written & verbal
- Good time management - ability to manage & prioritize workload and diary management
- Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to work with claims stakeholders to effectively direct claims strategy.
- Good critical thinking, decision-making and negotiation skills
