Assisting the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and supervision of kitchen staff.
- Check the quality of food prepared by staff according to the required standards and make necessary adjustments.
- Directs subordinate kitchen associates to ensure day to day operational matters are handled timely to exceed guests’ expectations.
- Works closely with service hosts in ensuring that specific outlet operations function efficiently.
- Master the use of all electrical equipment in the kitchen and observe how to handle them safely and carefully, regular check to ensure they are in good working order.
- Ensure safety and sanitation standards are met
- participate in the delvelipemt and implementation of new dishes and specials.
- Monitoring of food labelling, stock rotation (FIFO) and stock levels
- Actively participate in kitchen meetings to maintain continuous improvement of kitchen operations, achieve goals and maintain smooth communication.
- Ensure all policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines are carefully adhered to.
- Perform any other reasonable duties and duties as assigned.
