We are seeking highly motivated and dynamic professionals for the role of Assistant Manager, Cheque Processing Centre. The main responsibilities of this role includes local cheque verification, monitoring the performance progress of the overall verification process, act in the job scope of Team Leader and development of system enhancements required by the Department and Bank. This role reports to Manager, Cheque Processing Centre.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Perform the Local Cheque Verification and Magnetic Ink Character Recognition (MICR) to identify the account, routing, and secure the accurate information.
- Conduct the Bulk Input Maintenance, Gross Working Capital (GWC) and End of Day (EOD) reconciliation in keeping track of before the data submission to Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM).
- Ensuring the Letter of Credit (LC/HC) transmission to BNM within the allowed window of BNM’s compliance and performing Test Plan/Test Scope/Test Script for User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Verity and record the Credit Posting of transaction for all types including purchases, payments, refunds and chargebacks as well supervise closely with branches/bankers on clearing any incomplete or wrong data submitted.
- Manage the Automated Cheque Processing System/Card Identification Data (ACPS/CIDS) maintenance for Clearing House Number/Teller Cheque Collection System (CHM/TCCS).
- Act as Team Leader in monitoring team member’s verification and oversight of performance/errors.
- Job Requirements:

- Malaysian citizen.
- Degree holder in Finance/Banking/Accounting or in any relevant studies with minimum 3 - 5 years experience working in a recognized banking industry.
- Experienced in Automated Banking Machine (ABM), eSPICK & BNM Guidelines on clearing are preferable.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English & Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak and write in Mandarin and Tamil language is preferable.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office for reporting purposes & possess strong analytical skills, leadership and achievement oriented.
