**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Responsible in channeling telephone calls to the proper extension smoothly and politely. Handles internal paging and board paging for guests.
- Takes accurate and complete messages for guests and staff manually or by use through the computer terminal.
- Handles requested wake-up calls efficiently either by manual or the automatic wake-up call system from the PABX switchboard.
- Report faults detected or make known to the Chief Telephone Operator verbally or through the logbook and to follow through with the report made.
- Fully knowledgeable on the Hotel guests or the public as well as departments and appropriate personnel to respond and direct enquiries as required.
- Handles screening of all in-house movies efficiently and on proper schedule.
- Handles the programming and turning of in-house music in accordance to schedule.
- Handles all requests and confirmation required by Hotel guests as and when required and to act accordingly to them.
- Reports to the Chief Telephone Operator or Assistant Manager or Front Office Manager on any comments, complaints observations or irregularities within the Hotel premises by guests, executives or even staff.
- Familiar with all facilities in the Hotel including those for handicapped guests.
- Updates relevant reports and file for future reference.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of the Hotel safety and security procedures as requested to maintain a safe environment for employees and guest.
- Follows established Hotel security and safety procedures of the telephone department as required.
- Attends daily Front Office briefings and department meetings to maintain favourable working relationships among colleagues and promotes maximum morale, productivity and efficiency.
- Maintain cleanliness of the Telephone Department at all times.
- Knowledgeable and familiar with the city and country, particularly places of

interest, embassies and major business district locations.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by the Management from time to time.
