**JOB DESCRIPTION**
**ASSISTANT MANAGER (BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT)**
- An Assistant Manager (BD) plays a crucial role in supporting the business development efforts of a company or organization.
- To assist in the planning and execution of business development strategies. This may involve identifying new business opportunities, market research, and helping to develop sales and marketing plans.
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, markets, and industries for expansion. Analyze market trends and competitor activities to provide valuable insights for decision-making.
- Help prepare and customize business proposals, presentations, and pitches to prospective clients. This may include creating pitch decks, proposals, and other materials.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and industry contacts. This involves good interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to establish trust.
- Analyze sales data, performance metrics, and market trends to evaluate the effectiveness of business development strategies and make recommendations for improvements.
- Oversee and manage specific business development projects. This could involve setting goals, defining strategies, and coordinating with various teams to ensure successful project execution.
- Provide support to the sales team by coordinating with them, addressing client inquiries, and assisting in the negotiation and closing of deals.
- Prepare reports on business development activities and outcomes for management, including tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) and providing insights for decision-making.
- Assist in managing the budget for business development activities, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
- Explore and identify opportunities for expanding the company's presence in existing and new markets.
- Ensure that all business development activities comply with relevant laws and regulations.
- Support the professional development of the business development team, providing training and mentoring to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Qualifications and skills required for an Assistant Manager (BD) typically include:
