The role:
- The Business Development Representative (BDR) works together with the Business Development Manager (BDM) to develop and maintain favorable relationships with new and existing clients in order to increase revenue and ensure that SoftwareONE products and services consistently meet client needs. This role is responsible for providing sales quotations, sustaining and renewing client contracts, as well as systematically pursuing customer opportunities.
- Roles & Responsibilities:
- Contact with current customers on a daily basis.
- Establish and expand relationships with key executives and decision makers within each customer and territory.
- Develop and maintain exceptional consultative relationships with existing customers.
- Work collaboratively with assigned Account to develop an overall territory account plan, which will maximize opportunities and generate sales activity with customers and partners.
- Grow and maintain existing customer and partner relationships through proactive tele sales activity.
- Manage quote creation, order processing, and day-to-day customer and partner requests.
- Develop strong knowledge of leading industry trends through ongoing training with software publishers.
- Act as key resource for leading industry volume license offerings
- Development of the sales funnel: pitch and qualify leads on a daily basis.
- Manage Reseller relationships: Quoting, Lead generation, Renewals, Product and price list updates.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
- Knowledge of: customer service and sales strategies with ability to develop and maintain long-term business relationships
- Ability to demonstrate impact and business results from strong capabilities in Strategy & Planning
- High level of comfort interfacing multiple stakeholders customers, Partners, Publishers stakeholders
- Able to adapt to and embrace change in a rapidly changing environment; lead and mentor by example; maintain and promote good client relations, maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Gain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the industry and the market
- Proactively assess, clarify and validate existing/new end-user customer’s needs on an ongoing basis
- Familiarity with diverse licensing program and offering is preferred for instance Microsoft, Adobe, AWS, PyraCloud and others
- Strong collaboration across diverse teams of internal and external stakeholders
What we need to see from you:
- Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university would be preferred but not required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English-language capability (both written and verbal); Mandarin/Bahasa Melayu preferred by not mandatory
- 1-3 years software sales experience
- Disciplined and goal-oriented
- Persistence and positive attitude
- Solid planning and execution skills
- Familiarity with CRM systems is preferred
- Outstanding verbal & written communication skills
- Must be able to effectively find, assess, and prioritize sales opportunities
- Excellent negotiation, presentation and closing skills
- Ability to communicate to diverse end-user audiences
- Proficient in most commonly used MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- General understanding of current technology
