**PURPOSE**

Under the general guidance and supervision of the General Manager, within the limits of established Corporate Sales and Marketing Policies and Procedures, to be involved in all aspects of Sales operation. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to direct sales, sales solicitation, sales administration, advertising and public relations. Responsibilities also require direct and routine interaction with other Sales and Marketing personnel from other division or entities with MLP.

**DUTIES AND REPONSIBILITIES**

1. Ensure that pre-set targets/budgets for areas and territories allocated are achieved.

2. Promotes and produces leads for hotel product.

3. Ensure that the sales territories/areas allocated are thoroughly covered and updated. To be conducted regularly to maximize productivity.

5. Recommend to the GM all methods of maintaining and increasing business volume. This includes advertising, sales promotion, personal selling, publicity, community relations, special sales projects, employee training and guests’ relations.

6. Establishes and maintain files on major accounts he/she has established in the hotel and maintains the filing system.

7. Ensures that all external relations are conducted in professional manner to enhance the image of hotel.

8. To update information on competitors regarding rates, facilities, promotional activities, staff movements regularly and report this information via weekly meeting/report. This weekly meeting/report to the GM should include information on the general business scene, analysis, a roundup of sales calls, feedback on competitor and own rates, activities etc. and recommendations to improve performance of staff and to increase business to the hotel.

9. Entertainments to be conducted from time to time for specific accounts that are supportive and have potential to maintain good business relationship.

10. Attends major functions i.e. Trade Shows, Marketing Associations Meetings, Embassy Receptions, Governmental Departments, etc. to improve sales and build rapport for the hotel.

11. To participate in selected trade shows and conduct overseas/outstation sales trip to selected cities as and when required to increase business.

12. Organizes and accompanies property tour/visits to the hotel to supportive and potential accounts.

13. Meets up with in-housed guests and ensure post meeting evaluations are conducted.

14. To maintain cordial and effective working relationships with own and all other departments.

15. To assist in facilitation payment on outstanding accounts from clients so as to ensure the relationship of the client is maintained.

16. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned as and when necessary, as instructed by the GM.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: RM4,500.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
