The Business Controller works as the bridge between both businesses (Global Management Services and Global Support Services) and finance operations, overseeing and providing quality information about business and financial performance.

Collaborating with various stakeholders and finance shared services, the Business Controller strives to enhance strategic decision-making by providing guidance and support through diverse analyses.

This includes evaluating business and financial efficiencies, conducting benchmarking exercises, advocating for business process optimization, anticipating challenges and opportunities, and ensuring the establishment of appropriate accountabilities within the organization.

Main responsibilities

Position-holder is responsible to:
Financial Reporting and Communication
- Lead monthly business review meeting with various stakeholders, preparing and presenting financial performance, to highlight key performance metrics and financial trends.
- Provide insightful analysis and interpretation of variances, against budget and forecast, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Effectively communicate financial insights and recommendations to Department Heads, by providing insightful analysis, identify required action items, area of improvement and effectively frame decisions to be made.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.

Financial Planning and Analysis
- Lead the financial planning and analysis process for support services.
- Prepare quarterly financial forecasting to identify trends, risks, and opportunities, supporting proactive decision-making for the organization's financial health.
- Participate in the budgeting process, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies and stakeholders’ expectations.

Advisory Role
- Advise finance department and stakeholders through research, analysis, and experience to develop business and financial insights and recommendations that will drive end to end profitability improvement and cost efficiency.

Financial Controlling
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.
- Collaborate with Finance Operation (WWH Reporting & Control and Finance Shared Service Centre) for governance of corporate compliance policy/ guidelines, corporate secretarial practices etc. Advise the businesses on matters of financial compliance and governance.

Business Process Optimization
- Regularly review and enhance the financial planning process based on feedback, changing business needs, and industry best practices.
- Build and enhance relationships within the organization to help drive business performance outcomes and forecast quality improvements. Ensure we have appropriate accountability in the right areas.
- Be a process and risk champion to review business and financial operating processes, recommend alternative practices and processes. Drive positive change in process and procedure for better operational efficiency and quality.

Ad-Hoc Support
- Provide ad hoc financial analysis to assist with business decisions.
- Support in ad-hoc tasks as required.

**Qualifications**:
Mandatory requirements
- Higher education with Accounting/ Business Administration/ Finance/ Economics.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Self-motivated, excellent interpersonal and communication skills and able to work independently are a must as this role will work closely with different departments to ensure company alignment from a financial perspective.
- A team player with the capability to work independently when needed.
- Good written and spoken English.

- Proficiency with financial software packages (SAP), MS Office, OneStream, BI tools (Tableau and/or Power BI)
