Accountable for overall leadership and management of the Business Unit. The job includes developing, communicating and implementing business unit strategic plan, managing business unit profitability, leading, coaching and/or managing Area Sales Managers and Sales Teams; and, planning and managing inventory.

**Duties and responsibilities**:

- Establishing and communicating to the team, business plans and goals to maintain or increase market leadership position and superior customer loyalty with increased profitability to the business unit and company
- Creating a competency based work environment within and across teams. Recognize and reward for continuous team motivation; and, courageous to challenge for improvement in performance.
- Role model and promote standard for integrity, ethics, compliance and job performance.
- Direct yearly and monthly activities of the sales teams; support teams to achieve business unit and team objectives in sales and profits; and, continuously train, evaluate, coach area sales management, key account manager and sales teams toward achieving business unit goals.
- Set and implement sales plans that are ambitious and reasonable; and, strive for outstanding results
- Implement Business Unit's policies and processes for prospect management and customer follow-up to assure that all potential customers are handled in a manner conducive to maximizing the division's goals for sales penetration, profitability, and customer loyalty.
- Manage and ensure that all customers' agreements are completed accurately and in compliance with company policy in a timely fashion.
- Allocate and monitor business unit and team expense budget to achieve sales goals and optimizing the return on the company investment.
- Continuously challenge the norms, promote new innovative sales tactics, new business ideas and profit opportunities from the teams for the division
- Responsible for the achievement of the business unit and division profitability initiative.
- Prepare and propose to management business unit incentive KPis and schemes.
- Support marketing in providing SCM personnel with forecasting that enables them to plan for and create the capabilities necessary to meet the requirements of the business expansion.
- Develop and maintain relationships and alliances with customer, manufacturers, strategic alliances, industry associations, suppliers, and vendors that promote the goodwill of the company and serve its interests best.
- Motivate, train and ensure team consistent offers superior levels of service to its customers and maintaining all standards necessary to being recognized for superior customer satisfaction
- Monitor and evaluate the activities of all major competitors i.e. organization, people, pricing, product and activities.
- Ensure teams monitor and report back all major competitors' activities.
- Collaborate with marketing for counter plan with timely communication and actions from teams.

**Professional competencies**:

- Bachelor's degree in any discipline preferably Science, Business, Marketing or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of relevant sales experience (preferable in medical device industries)
- Minimum 5 years in managerial position
- Proven track record of achieving targets
- Able to be hands-on in day-to-day sales activities

**Personal competencies**:

- Good knowledge of customers within the assigned area.
- Proven track record in the sales development.
- Good presentation skills and computer literate as well as proficient in written and spoken English.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of budgeting cost estimating, and fiscal management principles and procedures.
- Employee development and performance management skills.
