Assistant Brand Manager

Role Purpose
- Effectively execute plans on the assigned category segment by strong follow up on brand development plan and strategy, revenue growth management strategy, research and insights, future category opportunities and integrated marketing communication activation in support of the direct line manager and aligned with total company growth objectives and strategic roadmap.
- Play an important contributing role to foster good relationships across cross-functional teams, operating effectiveness, team spirit, and collaborative culture across the marketing Team and within the organization.
Key Accountabilities
- Marketing Strategy
- Execute short term growth strategies. Follow up on plans set by line manager to ensure timeliness.
- Develop and implement 12-18 months portfolio roadmap including product range and quality, brand build, value delivery for consumers, pricing and affordability, range extension.
- Development of a share-growth-oriented marketing and category plan that seizes opportunities in product renovation, pricing strategy, competitor activities, customer/channel (e.g., convenience format, discounter) specific needs
2. Media and Communication Plan
- Follow up execution plan of AandP spend for product’s ATL communication, working together with line manager and Media Manager to ensure timeliness.
- Manage day-to-day relationship with agencies to deliver activity on time and on budget, write relevant and compelling media briefs
3. Marketing Launch Plans
- Develop and lead implementation of activation platforms and ideas based on the brand vision plan working with communication teams and agencies for RM, PR, BTL for the brand
- Execute consumer marketing launch plans for assigned projects on product innovations, product re-launches or category thematic P1 campaigns in a timely and accurate manner.
- Follow up point of contact for cross functional team on providing information, planning, task segregation for the campaigns.
- Follow up point of contact to manage external agencies/ business partners to meet the campaign deliverables.
4. Market Research
- Execute and value add to research projects planned in support of line manager.
- Analyze market and conduct consumer research in order to have a better understanding of sales trends and how consumer needs work in conjunction with the insights team
5. Brand Image and Brand standard
- Check and ensure brand guidelines are executed without errors for all internal and external product brand communications.
6. Finance and Budgeting
- Financial able to track and monitor AandP spending, recommend product pricing analysis and help out in budget planning process and budget reviews.
- Management of marketing budgets within agreed targets and align with customer advertising activities.
7. Team management
- Work well in positive and mature manner with cross functional team to deliver business objective.
- Self-initiative to own career development plan.
- Courage and actively give and seek for feedback from line manager and colleagues.
8. Others
- Update Direct Line Manager on the status of the principle accountabilities on bases of internal and external information: market research for brand image, usage, market share.
- Demonstrate the highly effective communication within the cross-function (with SCM, CD team, Retail team, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Regional Marketing, Finance) to ensure the highest business result achieved.
- Complete standard monthly reporting templates as required by category assigned in timely and data accurate manner.
- Shall be responsible for safe-keeping and updating the products artworks (hardcopy and Softcopy).
**; Requirements**:
- Degree holder in Business/ Marketing/ Management/ Finance/ Economics/ Commerce.
- At least 3 - 4 years Consumer Brand Marketing experience within the similar capacity of MNC FMCG environment preferred (Personal Care/ Female Category/ Skincare/ Beauty a plus).
- High fluency and comprehension (Oral and Written) in English - Plus point: Chinese and Malay languages.
- Microsoft Excel and Power point Savvy.
- Strong leadership, self-initiator and high level of self-accountability.
- Effective planning, time management, presentation, negotiation, communication and project management.
- Persuasive and effective communication cross functions.
- High Problem-Solving Skill with an analytical mindset.
- Has Entrepreneurship and Ownership with a high sense of emergency and able to thrives under pressure.
- Positively motivated with a Can-do attitude.
- High awareness and passion for today’s trends and news.
