**Job Description** Job Purpose**

Plan and execution of engineering projects by meeting project time schedule, control of project budget and to ensure the achievement of utmost quality and specification of projects.

**Document control**
- Documents management for ease of future retrieval and reference - drawings, design data, photographs, reports, correspondences and info crucial for design review, construction management, contract administration, operation, maintenance and future modification and upgrading work for the plants.

**Design**
- Review contractors, suppliers and consultants’ design
- Keep track of design changes in mechanical scope of works and coordinate with other parties to update all interfacing design works (such as civil, structure, architecture and electrical works) as well as authorities submission and approval.
- Follow up with relevant parties (equipment manufacturers, suppliers, specialist contractor) to provide information requested by Consultant.

**Contract Administration for works package managed Consultant**
- Review tender document prepared by Consultant especially on work scope, specification, terms and conditions and ensure appropriateness of BQ.
- Review tender/proposal submitted by contractors/suppliers and prepare clarification points for tender interview.

**Construction (for works managed by Consultant)**
- Progress monitoring by review weekly and monthly progress reports submitted by contractor and consultant and provide comments.
- Identify and discuss with GM problems that may impact work progress.
- Cost control by checking variation order, identify overdesign and ensure proper site record to prevent any fraudulent claims
- Quality control by checking material and equipment supplied and ensure compliance with specification by request document proof for verification.
- Correspondences with consultant and contractor to study and discuss with GM before respond.
- Prepare necessary response or action required by MFM during client-consultant meeting at design, construction, costing stage and closing stage and forward to respective parties as required.
- Follow up on action required by other parties according to the stipulated deadline to ensure items discussed are addressed as well as highlight to GM on important matters to be discussed in the meeting.

**Contract Administration for works package managed directly by DPP (Additional task)**
- Prepare documents to request for quotation, scope of works, specification, drawing and salient terms and conditions.
- Identify contractors to be invited for tendering and discuss with GM for agreement.
- Follow up with tenderers on submission of tenders and evaluate tender submitted from the technical and commercial aspects, schedule and competency.
- Coordinate with QS to prepare letter of awards.
- Coordinate with other consultant for interfacing works pertaining to design and construction sequences.
- Address and respond on any issues raised by the contractors.
- Monitor progress, cost control and quality.
- Inspection arrangement before delivery.
- Coordinate with Plant Management.
- Coordinate with QS on evaluation of progress payment.

**Completion and closing of project**
- Ensure as-build drawings, operation and maintenance manual are submitted by contractors and consultants.
- Compile all relevant documents on completion of the project for handing over to plant operation.
- Settle all contractual matters and ensure all defects are rectified and arrange for joint inspection before end of defect liability period and before release of retention sum.

**Other day to day project management**
- Coordinate with other consultant for interfacing works pertaining to design and construction sequences
- Address and respond on any issues raised by the contractors
- Coordinate with DPP Plant Management on issue related to operation and design
- Coordinate with QS on evaluation of progress payment
- Record what transpire at all meetings which required follow up action
- Keep master record of all outstanding matters for reference and follow up as well as to discuss with GM weekly

**Qualifications**
- Degree/Master in Mechanical Engineering
- Possess at least 6 years working experience in consultancy firm
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience
