A highly skilled Mechanical/Product Engineer is needed to spearhead the development of cutting-edge medical devices leveraging ultra-low power wireless technology.

The ideal candidate will bring together technical expertise, creativity, and problem-solving skills to craft innovative products addressing critical clinical needs. Adaptability, attention to detail, and a passion for harnessing technology to advance healthcare are essential qualities.

This role reports directly to our CTO, an accomplished engineer-turned-entrepreneur who has led India's first wearable tech company to numerous awards and recognition, including the 'Young Indian Entrepreneur of the Year' accolade.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop groundbreaking medical devices from conceptualization to product launch
  • Create prototypes using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Catia
  • Conduct thorough testing on product designs to ensure functionality and safety
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including electrical and software engineers
  • Oversee manufacturing processes and manage subcontractors effectively
  • Pioneer mechanical concepts to address complex challenges in medical robotics
  • Support verification and validation (V&V) processes, CE, and FDA submissions
  • Participate in in-vivo and clinical studies, both locally and internationally
  • Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including protocols, test reports, and product specifications
  • Ensure compliance with stringent medical device standards and regulations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in medical device development
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks and other relevant engineering software
  • In-depth knowledge of motion control systems and molded plastics parts design
  • Familiarity with medical device development standards and regulations
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in English
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Creativity and innovation in product design and development

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience with rapid prototyping techniques and 3D printing
  • Understanding of user experience (UX) principles in medical device design
  • Familiarity with design thinking and agile development processes
  • Experience in publishing research findings or presenting at conferences
